Aid and Attendance Pension
Do you or a loved one require the regular attendance of another person to assist with everyday needs such as eating, bathing, cooking, dressing, etc.?
Have you or your spouse served in any branch of the armed services during wartime?
If you answered yes to both of the questions above, you may be entitled to substantial benefits to assist with your care.
Some have called the aid and attendance pension the best kept secret in the elder law community, but it doesn't need to be. You should know that a veteran and spouse may be eligible for up to a tax free $2,019.00 monthly benefit.
The aid and attendance pension provides benefits for veterans and surviving spouses. Single veterans are eligible to receive a $1,703.00 monthly benefit and surviving spouses are eligible to receive up to $1,094.00 per month to help with their care.
